Today's home track meet has been cancelled. Practice will start at 3:05 PM after school.
Pennies for Patients - Monday, April 21 - Friday, April 25
The student council is conducting Pennies for Patients. This is to raise money for children and adults with blood cancers such as leukemia. This will be a contest between the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to see who can gather the most pennies. Pennies raise your teams efforts, but if you want to hurt another class, you would put in a silver coin or dollar bill. Whoever has the most pennies by Friday will win. You can donate at lunch.
Make Up Days Scheduled
Due to calamity days this winter, East Clinton Schools will be required to make up one additional day district-wide and Sabina Elementary will be required to make up two days. ALL BUILDINGS will make up Friday, May 23. Sabina Elementary will also make up Tuesday, May 27.

MAY 23 - ALL SCHOOLS IN SESSION- Last day for New Vienna Elementary, East Clinton Middle School, and East Clinton High School
MAY 27 - SABINA ELEMENTARY IN SESSION- Last day for Sabina Elementary

Students will be dismissed ONE HOUR EARLY on their last day. (May 27 for Sabina Elementary.)

Earth Day - Tuesday, April 22
Key Club members will be participating in a campus-wide clean up on Earth Day. Come to Ms. Walker's room on Tuesday, April 22 after school to get your gloves and garbage bag and assigned area. We will clean for about 30 minutes and then enjoy refreshments. Not only will we be helping our school campus, but also participating in an Earth Day activity and we will be part of the Clinton County Solid Waste's county-wide clean-up program.
Potential Post Secondary (PSEO) Students Accuplacer Test - Tues. 4/22
Attention all potential Post Secondary Enrollment Students - All potential PSEO students will be taking the Accuplacer in the high school media center on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 AM.
Cheerleading Open Gyms - April 3 - May 15
There will be open gyms every Thursday starting April 3 - May 15 from 6:30-7:30 PM for anyone who is interested in trying out for the 2014-2015 season. This is for students entering grades 7-12 next school year.
Student Council Applications - Due Friday, April 25
Applications for students interested in being a class officer and student council member for the 2014-2015 school year are now available in the office and also room 202. These applications are due by 2:30 PM on Friday, April 25. Take a chance at being a leader for your school.
Volleyball Camp (Sign up by May 20) and Summer Information
There will be a volleyball camp held July 21 - July 24 in the middle school gym for students entering grades 9-12. Sign up by May 20 to guarantee t-shirt size. The cost is $40.00 per student. For complete details, click here.

Summer Information:
Summer league will be held at Hillsboro HS on Wednesdays in July. The cost is $8 per player. Sign up with coach Sodini.

High School Open Gyms will be held Tuesdays and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:00 AM during the summer. (There will be weeks off due to camps, fair, etc.) Contact Coach Sodini for details.

Spring Band and Choir Concert - Monday, May 19
The middle school/high school spring band and choir concert will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 19 at the Murphy Theatre in Wilmington.
Choir Practices - Monday and Thursday
Choir will practice after school on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:30 PM.
Cheerleading Tryout Information - May 19 - 22
May 19- Mandatory parent meeting from 5:30 - 6:30 PM, clinics will be 6:30- 9:00 PM
May 20- Clinics from 6:00 - 9:00 PM
May 21- Mandatory coaches evaluation from 6:00- 9:00 PM
May 22- Tryouts will begin at 5:00 PM
Prom Details - Saturday, May 10

The theme for the evening is Moonlight Masquerade and the colors are purple, silver, and black. While masks and matching of the theme’s colors are appropriate, they are not required.

The 2014 prom will be held at Coney Island’s Moonlight Gardens on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 7:00-11:00 p.m. Guests may begin arriving at 6:30 and all guests must be on-site at the prom by 8:00 p.m. Guests arriving after 8:00 p.m. will not be admitted.

All tickets are pre-sale only to juniors and seniors and one guest. Tickets are on sale through Friday, April 25 before and after school in room 210. Tickets are $30.00 each for current East Clinton students and $35.00 for non-East Clinton guests. All non-East Clinton guests must be approved BEFORE tickets will be sold.
Dance permission forms are available in the high school office or by clicking below. Seating at Coney Island is first-come, first-seated, and not reserved.

Bus Transportation:
Alternate transportation via charter bus is available for $10.00 per person (limited seats available). Tickets may be purchased in room 210 or at lunch.

Tuxedo Rental/Measurement:
Making the Cut Salon in Wilmington is offering a special deal for tuxedo rental for this year’s prom. All rentals will receive a discount of $40.00 off the suggested retail price. In addition, a donation to the prom fund will be received for each tuxedo rented. A deposit of 50% down will be required at time of measurement, with the remainder due on pickup. 3 on 3 Volleyball Tournament - Monday, May 12

There will be a 3 on 3 volleyball tournament May 12. Registration begins at 4:30 PM and games begin at 5:00 PM. Open to everyone (teams of 3-5 people) The cost to participate is $20.00 per team. Admission will be $1.00 to watch. The tournament is a fund raiser for the volleyball program.

Variety Show - Friday, May 16
The variety show is scheduled for Friday, May 16 at 6:30 PM. Any singing, dancing, acting, instrument playing groups or solos that would like to participate should contact Mr. Wages by Thursday, May 8. Students may also submit videos for the evening's show. All acts and videos must be approved by Friday, May 9 as to their school appropriateness.
