Teen Read Week in the Library - Week of October 20

This year's Teen Read Week theme is "Unlock the Mystery at the Library." There are mystery books to check out and win. Chances for prizes with each book checked out and for each overdue book returned.

Check out a mystery book and win a ticket to come to Clue, the Movie to be shown in the library after school on Thursday, October 23. There will be popcorn, pop, and treats provided.

Enter the Clue scavenger hunt for a chance to win an e-reader. Each day a clue will be read during both lunch periods, and prizes awarded to the first person to tell Mrs. Earley the name of the book. See Mrs. Earley for contest sheets.

Cross Country Competes in District Championship Race
The cross country team competed in the district race at West Chester on Saturday. The team of Ian Henson, Nathan Crouch, Josh Jones, Elijah Howard, and Jack Whittenburg placed well with Ian Henson placing the highest on the team with a 18:17 5K, his personal best. Emilee Cross and Rebecca Bevan also ran well to finish out the year.
Key Club Meeting- Wednesday, October 22
There will be a Key Club meeting on Wednesday, October 22 at 2:35 PM in Ms. Walker's room.
Wrestling Open Mats and Conditioning
Open Mats for wrestling will begin on Tuesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 23 from 3-4:30 PM in the wrestling room for all athletes considering wrestling this season and currently not in a fall sport. Conditioning and lifting will begin on Monday, October 27 from 3-4:30 PM.
Athletic Boosters Meeting - Wednesday, October 22
This month's athletic booster meeting will be held Wednesday, October 22 at 6:00 PM, due to homecoming week.
FFA Fruit Sale - Runs through Friday, November 14
FFA fruit and other items can be ordered from an FFA member now until November 14. If you have any questions, please call 937-584-2474.

Girls Basketball Conditioning - Begins Monday, October 20
Girls basketball conditioning will begin Monday, October 20 and run through Thursday, October 30. Conditioning will be held after school Monday through Thursday from 3:00 until 5:15 PM.

Attention Seniors - Review Credits, Transcripts, Testing and Plans
Ms. Luck will be meeting with seniors to review credit, transcripts, testing, and future plans. Please be sure to see Ms. Luck by the end of October.
Senior Pictures - All Photos Due by Friday, January 30
Class of 2015 pictures for the yearbook and class composite must meet the following guidelines: must be a vertical head/shoulders ONLY picture, no writing on shirt, no distracting elements or backgrounds, NO HANDS in picture. All photos must be in color. Any picture deemed unacceptable will not be used and a replacement photo will be requested. All photos must be submitted by Friday, January 30, 2015. There will be two dates to be announced later that a professional photographer will take the a senior photo at no charge. School pictures may be used for those not wishing to submit a photo or for those not submitting before the deadline. Pictures MUST be submitted in digital form by e-mail, CD, or digital download. AAA Driving School - November Dates Scheduled

1989 Football Team to be Honored on October 24
On October 24, ECHS will be honoring the 25 year Reunion of the 1989 undefeated football team. There will be a pre-game tailgate set up and the team will be recognized at halftime.
Ohio Valley Hoops Classic - December 5-7 at Wilmington College
Make plans to attend the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic December 5-7 at Fred Raizk Arena on the campus of Wilmington College for a weekend of outstanding high school basketball. East Clinton will take on Blanchester on Sunday, December 7 at 1:00 PM. The 21 team field includes nine past state champions accounting for a total of 26 state championships.
