USDA Speaker Visits Science Classes |
September 8, 2010 |
Deb Geglein, a gypsy moth technician from the USDA,spoke to our biology class and ecology classes at ECHS on September 8th. Ms. Geglein has spoken to our students every year for the past 7 years as she educates on invasive species of insects. She is particularly interested in saving the ash trees in Ohio from the emerald ash borer and many tree species from gypsy moth. Students are now aware of the characteristics of these insects as well as those of the asian long horned beetle.
